I took a one-day trip to Odessa with this guide and was extremely satisfied. His knowledge about the region, its history, and the key sights was truly impressive. The whole journey felt safe and comfortable thanks to his calm and professional driving style. Я заказала частный тур с гидом в Старый Орхей на 4 человека, транспорт — минивэн. О гиде и водителе: Поездку проводил водитель-гид Корнелиу Скурту, который проявил себя очень любезным и вежливым. Он связался с нами заранее, обговорил точное место встречи и программу. Приехал вовремя. Предложил зонты (погода была дождливая) и выбирал места остановок с учётом погодных условий. О транспорте: Машина удобная и чистая. На обратном пути Корнелиу подвёз нас туда, куда мы попросили (в городе). Об экскурсии: Поездка и полученная информация были интересными. При хорошей погоде, полагаю, программа получилась бы более насыщенной. Обедали в аутентичном ресторане Eco-Resort Butuceni, где Корнелиу заказал для нас столик заранее. Место и еда очень понравились — вкусно, «по-домашнему». Общее впечатление: Мы остались довольны и поездкой, и предоставленными услугами.

I’m an avid photographer and solo traveller from Penang Island (Malaysia). Upon arriving at Chișinău Airport, I was warmly greeted by Mr. Corneliu, who served as both my private chauffeur and guide. We spent a few days travelling around Moldova together, and I couldn’t have asked for a better companion on the road. He is more than a safe and professional driver with lots of interesting information about the region and gave insights into both historical and current information. Мы посетили рынок Тирасполя, музей, крепость Бендеры, стадион «Шериф», парки, Дом Советов, кинотеатр Горького — и даже отправили открытки с местного почтамта. Корнелий — знающий, внимательный и организованный гид. Легко общается на русском, румынском, английском и немецком, поддерживая разговор на любые темы — от Потёмкина до молдавского вина. Corneliu is a truly superior tour guide that I would highly recommend to any travelers venturing to the region. My family and I, along with my elderly parents, took a European vacation in Summer 2025 with a four day stop in Moldova. My wife was born and raised in the country and was concerned about the logistics of getting around with a group of five to seven people while we visited. Corneliu eased those concerns when he showed up for the four day trip in a spacious van that was fully stocked with the group’s preferred beverages, as well as phone chargers to keep us from missing out on any of the beautiful scenery. My wife was surprised at the depth of Corneliu’s knowledge. He was teaching her, a native Moldovan, things that she hadn’t known. Equally as impressive was that Corneliu seamlessly switched from speaking English, Moldovan and German to all of us. We saw so many amazing sights and some hidden gems thanks to Corneliu’s research. Wir waren fast zwei Wochen mit Corneliu unterwegs. Er ist ein pefekter Driverguide. Es war eine Freude mit ihm zu reisen. Er spricht sehr gut deutsch, kennt sich sehr gut in Geschichte und Geographie aus. Mit ihm zu reisen ist kurzweilig und unterhaltsam. Dadurch, dass er auch russisch spricht, war in allen Gebieten der Republik Moldau eine Kommunikation mit der Bevölkerung möglich. Wir haben von ihm viel über die verschiedenen Bevölkerungsgruppen und die Zusammenhänge in der Sowjetunion und der Zeit danach erfahren.

Corneliu is a great guide. I enjoyed the tour from start to finish. He drive us through moldavian culture, Monasteries, nature and cuisine. His english is very good and I had a great time listening to him. I really reccomend a tour of Moldavia with him.

Corneliu is an excellent tour guide and made this full-day tour of Transnistria genuinely fascinating, smooth, and surprisingly fun. He clearly knows the region inside and out — history, politics, daily life, and all the quirks you’d never pick up on your own. The day was very well paced, with a great mix of landmarks, local neighborhoods, and stops that actually feel authentic, not touristy. What really stood out: • Clear explanation of the Soviet/CCCP history without bias or propaganda • Practical insights into how people actually live there today • A cool CCCP-style restaurant that felt like stepping straight into the 1980s (excellent stop and well chosen) • Tons of recommendations on different things to do, see, and eat, even beyond the tour itself Corneliu is friendly, calm, well-organized, and happy to answer any question — political, historical, or just curiosity-driven. Border crossing was handled smoothly, and I always felt informed and comfortable. If you’re considering a Transnistria day trip, don’t overthink it — go with Corneliu.
