Mihai Sava is an example of hard work and perseverance. The winemaker has evolved from homemade wine production to the launch of bottled wine under its own brand, with the support of USAID and the Association of Small Wine Producers of Moldova, Wine of Moldova. The winery is located in Costesti, 28 km from Chisinau.

He transformed his house into a small winery and today dozens of tourists visit him yearly to experience authentic wine experiences. After enjoying the breath-taking landscapes, guests are invited to the cellar to taste Sava’s Bianca, made from the grape with the same name, and the only one its kind  to be bottled in Moldova. Tourists can also sample traditional dishes cooked by Mihai’s wife, Valentina Sava.
